My full name is Juan Francisco Aldasoro, but most people call me Juanfra. I was born and raised in Argentina and now live in sunny Barcelona.

I’ve been building on WordPress for close to two decades, since the platform was still finding its shape.

In that time I founded NiceThemes, a premium theme company that grew to more than 10,000 paying customers in the early days of the WordPress marketplace.

I then joined Modern Tribe, where I led the ticketing solution of The Events Calendar — now part of StellarWP — a plugin with 700,000 active installs on WordPress.org

More recently, I co-led TwentyTwenty-Five, WordPress’s default theme, which brought me onto the WordPress 6.7 release squad.
